Grant Funding Request

Maximum-requestable funding amount: $250,000
Grant Purpose
This grant provides financial assistance on a matching basis to local governments and nonprofit senior organizations in Oakland County for senior center enhancements.


Municipal Matching Requirement
Includes in-kind, past, current, and/or future investment in senior centers, recreational facilities for senior activities, and/or other investments benefiting senior citizen residents that are long-term in nature.
Please Note: Grant funding cannot be received without commitment of matching funds (unless it is waived) and execution of agreement by local governing board/officer. (Inter-local agreement/ contract.)

Match requirement can be waived if additional justification showing the need is submitted.

Implementation Plan
  • Include a detailed project cost estimate and timeframe on expending funds.
  • Indicate how and when the requested and matching funds will be expended.
  • Total cost in the implementation plan must match the total funding request.
  • Explain how grant funds will be combined with matching funds to complete the project, if applicable.

Interlocal Agreement

Capital Improvement Plan
For Capital Improvements, Grantee must include capital improvement plan for the project.
