The Teen Court Mentor plays a supportive and educational role within the Teen Court program. Their
primary responsibility is to assist, guide, and coach the student attorneys as they prepare for and
participate in Teen Court proceedings.
The mentor does not represent any individual participant, defendant, or party in the case. Their role is
strictly advisory and educational. They ensure that student attorneys are prepared, confident, and
capable of carrying out their responsibilities, while also reinforcing the values of fairness, respect, and
restorative justice that the Teen Court program promotes.
